Artist's Comments
Another addition in the presentation of traditional temple art in a new/modern way (at least new to me). Intend here is to simulate a rising Sun on water effect.
Original picture by me, take at the temple of Heaven, Beijing. For previous samples, please look at: Dragon's Eye Dragonfly --- Featured --- Features - Innovation - by --- Featured --- Please don't hesitate to comment on what you like (or dislike) about the picture, any feedback is appreciated. Please don't write thank you comments back. My inbox nearly explodes. I know you are thankful for my comments. But please write just back if you really have something to say. Better look at my art and give me some comments back that way. Thank you.

The meaning and purpose of life is to give life purpose and meaning.
Violence is the resort of those lacking spirituality.
The piece in question contains a frame (which is the gold and blue) and several multi coloured bands depicting dragons and phoenicis. A thatched roof forms the darker part in the middle.
Once I had all the components I wanted I glazed it (paint does it for me) and then start inverting the poles (top and bottom of the original picture) to get the desired effect. It really sounds more complicated than it is, the most important is taking the right kind of picture and selecting the right portion of that picture (or combination of) to get the desired outcome, the rest is software.
If you look at the upper half of this one, the squares and circles on the brown background actually form part of the roof, the greenish part sits below that in the original and the gold frame below that. The very bright parts sit below the gold frame in the original.
The glazing is what creates the fluorescent effect on the brighter spots (I have a similar effect in "dragon's eye") and was the result of much experimenting *ahum* coincidental *ahum*.
I hope this makes some sense, if it doesn't or if I didn't answer your question, feel free to send me a note or reply here and I'll be happy to provide whatever detail desired.
Cheers,
Ghost
