A Mandarin duck (or Yuan-yang in Mandarin) as it swims in the cool spring waters of Beihai park (Beijing, China). These ducks are used frequently in Oriental art and are regarded as a symbol of conjugal affection and fidelity. They are often used in Chinese weddings since they represent wedded bliss and fidelity in traditional Chinese lore. I swear that this was the same duck I caught last year in December ( [link] ), the same regal look in his eyes and this time he decided to humour me a little and pose in front of me (he was actually falling asleep). I was still standing there ... oooh, pretty Please don't hesitate to comment on what you like (or dislike) about the picture, any feedback is appreciated. Don't worry though, I won't kill ya if you fav+run. Thanks, Ghost --- Featured --- Suggested DDs and Other Worthies - by CommentsOh wow. A beautiful bird, and a perfect reflection.
